Spartan’s
roots have been firmly planted in Arlington’s Great Southwest
Industrial District since 1963. When the Trebilcock family purchased
Spartan in 1985, the company provided blueprinting services to
the Dallas/Fort Worth area with eight employees in a 8500 sq.
ft. building.
As
the company grew, Spartan expanded its services by offering
printing to its direct customers and eventually to printing
brokers. A larger building was purchased in 1995 which provided
19,500 sq. ft. of office and production space. In 1999, Spartan
made a decision to sell only "to the trade"... providing
printing services to clients who resell, i.e., brokers, distributors
and other printers.
Beginning
with small short-run presses, then expanding to half sheet
presses, Spartan now offers 40" press capabilities printing
up to six colors. Spartan currently has approximately 40 employees
in its 44,000 sq. ft. facility. Binding operations are done
in-house or partnered as needed. Spartan’s outstanding graphics design
and prepress department supports cross platforms of both Mac and PC. A major
change to direct plate in 2003 increased production and efficiency.
Spartan
has always been a family owned business specializing in personal
service with an emphasis on integrity and dependability. Spartan
is proud of its reputation and appreciative of its excellent
employees who truly care about the quality of work they produce.
The Spartan "sales force" of brokers, distributors
and commercial print shops can count on Spartan to deliver
quality printing "on-time".
